All-terrain vehicles are really becoming popular, especially among kids under age 16. As you might guess, the more people that buy them, the more we're seeing accidents and deaths.
The newest government figures indicate ATV use has more than doubled over the last five years to more than 6 million rolling around the country. With 620 deaths recorded from ATV accidents in one year, along with 125,000 injuries.
Another huge concern of those killed, one in three was a child younger than 16-years-old. So safety groups are asking the government that something be done to promote ATV safety, which starts with making sure riders always wear a helmet.
