Lubbock leaders hope for a repeat performance during this Sunday's Day of Prayer and Fasting. On Friday, city and county leaders met with members of Pray Lubbock to discuss prayer concerns.
Last year, leaders encouraged the city to pray for rain and Lubbock recorded its second wettest year in history. Gary Kirksey, Pastor of Cityview Christian Fellowship said, "Some of the things we witnessed was an incredible amount of rainfall. One of the things we asked for was for it to be systematic and not just at what time and we've seen that."
This Sunday, leaders are asking you to pray for rain, plus a bountiful harvest and model families.
