Local Democrats have selected a new leader.
Johnnie Jones most recently served as Vice Chairman of the Lubbock County Democratic Party. She won the position, while running opposite local attorney, Charlie Dunn.
Jones will fill the vacancy left by last month's sudden passing of Irma Guerrero.

The local Democratic party is mourning the loss of their leader. Irma Guerrero died unexpectedly in her sleep Tuesday morning. Guerrero a Lubbock native, has chaired the Democratic party for the last four years. |
