A Lubbock elementary school went under lock down Thursday afternoon after a small cross-bow arrow pierced a classroom window.
About six children were in class at Overton Elementary when the arrow flew about five feet through the window. Two young adults ages 17 and 18 were shooting a cross-bow at a target in an alley just North of Overton Elementary, when they accidentally shot the weapon into the school. Overton went on lock down for a few minutes, but no one was injured.
Tom Nichols the Director of Police & Safety said that teachers, administrators, and kids handled the incident textbook.
The two teens potentially face Class A misdemeanor charges of deadly conduct.
