Taylor Lee recently moved to Lubbock to join the KCBD News Channel 11 team. As a "morning person," she always has a lot of energy and is stoked to be working with the Daybreak morning news team.
She's a 2015 graduate from University of Florida's top-ranked College of Journalism and Communications. Growing up she loved watching newscasts in her hometown, Jacksonville, Fla with her 3 younger brothers. Random opportunities with local live shots and celebrity interviews made her realize her passion could become a lifestyle. In college, she really began pursuing her dream of a career in broadcast journalism. As a student, Taylor anchored and reported for WUFT's evening newscasts in Gainesville, Fla. for two years. She also spent time working for Fox News Channel in New York City; some of her top stories were featured on Fox News.
Taylor is trading in her Florida Gator orange and blue for red and black as she makes Lubbock her new home. She's a born and raised Florida girl who will admit, she's falling in love with the Texas culture and everything West Texas has to offer. Exploring new places, trying different things and dining at quirky restaurants are some of her favorite things to do. Lucky for her, the area has many unique things to do. Taylor feels so blessed to be working in the Hub City. If you have any local hot-spot suggestions or great news story ideas, you can find Taylor Lee on Twitter @TaylorLeeKCBD or on Facebook. She would love to get to know the locals of the West Plains!
