Ribbon Cutting Marks New Child Development Center

My Father's House opened its new child development center with a ceremonial ribbon cutting Monday afternoon.

The center is open to children, ages newborn to kindergarten. My Father's House is a ministry that offers housing to women in circumstances that have left them without a safe place to stay.

My Father's House is located at South Loop 289 and Avenue P.

For the last 10 weeks, the parking lot at Lowery Field has been home to more than 100 volunteers.
