A Texas Panhandle prosecutor pleaded guilty Tuesday to being an addict in possession of a firearm.
Rick Roach entered the plea in an Amarillo Courtroom, moments after resigning as District Attorney for five NorthEastern Panhandle counties. Roach was arrested last month at the Gray County Courthouse on meth charges.
Under Tuesday's plea deal, three drug charges were dropped. Roach faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
His sentencing date has not been set.
