Texas Tech hopes a new agreement with Sandia Laboratories will open the door to research and funding opportunities.

Tech will work with the New Mexico Lab on several issues, including wind energy pulsed power, which involves using high-power microwaves to disable electronic devices, and water desalinization.

The agreement could eventually mean up to $50 million a year in research for Tech.
