Prairie dogs are one of the top five reasons tourists visit Lubbock.
Now, the furry animals will be featured on a website, promoting Lubbock. Representatives from TM Advertising in Dallas shot video and photos through the fog of Prairie Dog Town Tuesday morning. They then headed to the Windmill Museum.
The video taken Tuesday will be posted on a Texas tourism website in web-cam fashion.
"When people go to Traveltex.com , they'll be able to see the prairie dogs in their holes and maybe they'll think to themselves, hey I've never seen prairie dogs live before. I want to go to Lubbock and see them, so they'll go to Lubbock. The whole goal is to get people to this part of Texas," said Todd Connelley of TM Advertising.
Lubbock will be one of eight cities featured in video on the website.
