The president's budget continues to gain criticism from the South Plains this time from the Lubbock County Democrats.
The budget threatens to cut some funding to the farm bill. On Wednesday, local Democrats claimed any reduction in funding would have serious implications to the Lubbock economy. "We're just going to put all the pressure we can on our elected officials and let them know that this is the wrong thing to do," said area farmer, Zane Reese.
Bush's budget is a proposal. It will go up to Congress for a vote.
