Abilene Woman Hospitalized In Lubbock After Being Set On Fire

A domestic disturbance almost turned deadly Friday morning after an Abilene man doused his girlfriend with gasoline, and set her on fire.

34-year-old Shannon Lopez is now in police custody. Police say he is the man responsible for this horrific crime, and he did it as the woman's young son watched. The victim was brought to Lubbock, and is now listed in critical condition at University Medical Center.

Her son was also taken to the hospital, but was not seriously hurt.
