Lubbock Honors Unsung Heroes In Reception

Local first responders gathered together Tuesday night to honor Lubbock's finest.

The 4th Annual Unsung Heroes recognition program was held Tuesday night at the American State Bank on 14th and Avenue Q.

Local Firefighter Receives High Honors
He's a Lubbock Firefighter and educator and now, Chris Angerer is the Texas training officer of the year.

One member each from the police department, fire department, sheriff's department and EMS was honored for his or her outstanding work last year. Those selected are nominated by their peers.
