Investigators Rule Cause Of Deadly Slaton Fire As Undetermined - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

The State Fire Marshal's Office has ruled the cause of a fire that killed a Slaton woman last week, as undetermined.

The fire broke out February 9th in the 900 Block of South Oklahoma Street in Slaton. Investigators were unable to locate the exact cause, or origin of the fire, but they do say there were no signs of foul play.

Autopsy reports are pending but preliminary reports indicate 51-year-old Bessie Mae Chapman died as a result of the fire.
