Miss Lubbock USA Crowned Saturday

A new Miss Lubbock USA was crowned Saturday night.

Frenship Junior High hosted the pageant in its auditorium, in Wolfforth. Contestants competed in three categories: swimsuit, evening wear and a personal interview.

Julie Upton, from Semionle, was awarded the title. She competed againt six other ladies for the crown. Upton will move on to compete for Miss Texas USA honors in Laredo this June.

Alley McDaniel won the crown for Miss Lubbock Teen USA.
