Floydada Escapees Now in Custody

Two juvenile detention center escapees that have been on the run for, four days are now in custody. The two boys turned themselves into their Probation Department in Gaines County late Monday afternoon.

On Thursday night, the boys assaulted a supervisor at the parent adolescent center in Floydada and stole her SUV. They later abandoned the SUV, fled on foot and received a ride from a farmer.

The escape caused a massive search involving authorities from several counties.

Juvenile Escapee Search Moves to Lubbock
New information is released on the two juvenile Floydada escapees. Floydada police believe the two are now in Lubbock. Police confirmed someone gave them a ride into town from Hale Center.
