Gas prices in Lubbock are among the highest in the state.

The average price of gas in Lubbock is just two cents short of the $2 mark at a $1.98. That's just one cent less than the highest recorded averages in Amarillo and Wichita Falls. Midland averages $1.97.

NewsChannel 11 did some research and found the lowest prices down south in Katy at $1.75 and in Corsicana and Bryan at $1.74.
