The situation is back to normal in Seagraves after 400 residents were evacuated from their homes Monday night.
It started just before nine o'clock Monday night, with a sulfur spill at a loading station south of town. It resulted in a fire that created a cloud of smoke that drifted towards the city.
Authorities took precautions by evacuating the residents to the Seagraves Junior High School Gym. Fire crews put out the fire. Most residents were allowed to return to their homes about two hours later, after the cloud had dissipated.
There were no reports of injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
