Lubbock police continue search for Zoe Campos 2 years after disappearance

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Tuesday marks two years since Zoe Campos was last seen.

She disappeared on November 17, 2013, and to this day she has not contacted anyone.

"She still hasn't had any contact with her family over two years. It's not typical. Looking at her past history with contacting family and friends, she would have contacted somebody by now if she had to means or the ability to," Lubbock Police Detective Adam Freeman said.

Freeman is now the lead investigator on the case.  He says he works on it every day, whether that be reviewing statements, or going over physical evidence.

"Her case is the priority cast that I have right now. I do have to work other cases, but every day there's at least something done on Zoe's case," Freeman said.

An unknown person was seen driving Campos' car after her disappearance. Police recovered the vehicle, but say they didn't find anything that would indicate what happened to her.

"Without any evidence to show that she's not alive, that gives us the hope that she is still alive, and we can find her and bring her home."

Campos' family has hired a private investigator who Freeman does work with. He and the Campos family continue to ask anyone with information to come forward.

"There's somebody out there that knows what happened, and they need to come forward to us," Freeman said.

Anyone with information on Zoe Campos' whereabouts is urged to call Crime Line at (806) 741-1000. You do not have to give your name, and a reward is being offered for information that leads to her recovery.

Campos' family has also created a Facebook page to update the public on her case.
