Lubbock County Testing New Electronic Voting Machines

The way you vote in Lubbock County is changing.

The county is testing out new electronic voting equipment. Five different vendors are showcasing the electronic voting machines they offer.

The machines offer touch screens, the ability to change font-size on a ballot and head-phones. Lubbock County must select one of the machines to get in compliance with the help America Vote Act.

The machines are available for you to test from now until 7:30 Thursday night. Just stop by the central jury pool room at 1302 Ave G. You'll be asked to fill out a short survey after taking the machines on a test run.
