Academic performance, test scores, curriculum, drop-out and graduation rates and even attendance. They all factor into the state's Academic Excellence Indicator System Report.
Scores were published Thursday and Lubbock ISD is in good standing. Sixteen campuses were recognized for outstanding performance. Thirty received acceptable ratings. And three schools, Alderson Academy, Arnett Elementary and Bean Elementary were scored unacceptable.
Schools that achieved a Recognized status include:
- Bowie Elementary - Gold performance acknowledgment in reading and math,
- Hardwick Elementary - Gold acknowledgment in reading, writing and science
- Haynes Elementary
- Honey Elementary - Gold acknowledgement in reading, math and writing
- Iles Elementary
- Maedgen Elementary - Gold acknowledgement in reading
- Murfee Elementary - Gold acknowledgement in reading, math, writing and science
- Overton Elementary
- Parsons Elementary - Gold acknowledgement in writing
- Smith Elementary - Gold acknowledgement in reading, mathematics, writing and science
- Stewart Elementary
- Wheelock Elementary - Gold acknowledgement in reading and writing
- Whiteside Elementary - reading, math, writing and science
- Williams Elementary - reading, math, writing and science
