National Ranching Heritage Center Plans To Expand

There are big changes in store for the National Ranching Heritage Center.

Groundbreaking for the $3.7 Million Christine Devitt wing took place Saturday. The wing will join onto the East side of the main building. Executive Director Jim Pfluger says it will help accomodate the 70,000 visitors and students who visit the Ranching Heritage Center each year.

"Our mission is to expand the size of the park and the number of buildings that we have and bring historical buildings from other parts of the U.S.," said Pfluger

Center completion of the 16,000 square foot facility is expected in spring 2006.
