South Plains Cotton Fire Leaves Investigators Searching For Answers

Investigators are still trying to figure out why $3,000 worth of cotton went up in flames this weekend. The fire broke out at the farmers co-op compress in the 3800 Block of South East Drive Saturday afternoon. At least ten bales of cotton caught fire.

This was the third cotton fire on the South Plains this month alone.
