The governor's office is pouring more money into the fight against drugs in West Texas.
Governor Rick Perry announced a grant for Dawson County Wednesday. The county, whose county seat is Lamesa, will get $44,500 from the latest grant. The money will be used to hire a narcotics investigator.
The goal is to reduce drug trafficking, manufacturing and sales in rural areas.
