City Hosts Meetings To Help Lubbock Business Owners Comply With New Ordinance

An ordinance to reduce the availability of drugs used to make methamphetamines goes into effect next Saturday.

The ordinance places restrictions on the sale of various over the counter products containing Pseudoephedrine. Customers must also register their purchase with their name, address, photo ID and signature.

The city will hold two question and answer sessions to help retailers get into compliance with this ordinance. The first session is Monday, March 21st at 3 p.m. The second is Tuesday, March 22nd at 9 a.m.

Both will be held in the Lubbock Health Department Auditorium at 19th Street and Texas.
