Albuquerque Decked Out to Welcome Raiders

Texas Tech Red Raider fans showed up in Albuquerque to find themselves in a sea of red and black.

It's Red Raider country Albuquerque style. "Were thrilled to have red raider fans here", said Bob Gansfuss, GM of the Wyndam Hotel in Albuquerque. "We put out the red carpet, the staff decorated the lobby with balloons and streamers to welcome fans."

Even though not everyone in Albuquerque were putting there "guns up" the business from Texas was a win for all. Albuquerque Mayor Martin Chavez says, "Were a basketball town our team didn't make it past the first round ,but we have a lot of friends playing here."

As the Sweet Sixteen kicks off, Tech fans hope to see that red and black carpet out again for the elite eight.
