Millions of Americans are too sleepy for work, for time with friends, and even for sex. That's according to a poll just released from the National Sleep Foundation.
The survey also finds that 75% of adults today are showing at least one symptom that may be linked to sleep trouble.
"They're much more likely to have a medical condition and these medical conditions that we assessed in our current poll included hypertension, diabetes, heart disease and other types of medical problems," says Dr. Barbara Phillips, with the National Sleep Foundation.
"Naps can help so can laying off caffeine and alcohol, but talking to a doctor may be the first step in getting those zzz's," says Dr. Christopher Drake, with the Detroit Sleep Center.
Remember we're all losing an hour of sleep this weekend when we turn the clocks forward for daylight savings time.
