The murder trial of a Lubbock man is now underway.
Collie Willard is accused of killing Roberto Esquivel in August of 2003. The prosecution began presenting its case Tuesday, starting with testimony from the victim's sister.
You may recall the 2003 incident occurred during a party in an East Lubbock home. Willard was supposed to be serving time in jail for a domestic assault conviction, but he was released accidentally due to a clerical error.
