A former youth hockey coach has been arrested after a 15-year-old player accuses the coach of sexual misconduct. Charles Ladd Taylor has been charged with Possession of Child Pornography after an investigation lead police to search Taylor's hard drive.
The Federal Court Affidavit tells the story of how a 15-year-old boy was allegedly sexually assaulted by 45-year-old Charles Ladd Taylor. It also tells us how the details of this boy's case, lead the FBI to discover more than offense.
Taylor walked out of court looking unrested with a two-day beard and an untucked shirt with jeans. It was two weeks ago that the FBI executed a search warrant to his home on possible child molestation charges. What they found was 19 videos with child pornography on Taylor's hard drive.

Taylor was a coach for the Lubbock Trojans, a traveling hockey team, who was hired by a group of parents. He resigned on March 4th, after the sexual allegations came up.
It was about a month ago when the 15-year-old player accused his coach of sexual abuse. The investigation started when the boy went to an off-duty Lubbock police officer during a Cotton Kings game and testified that Taylor had sexually assaulted him. According to the Federal Court Affidavit, the boy's mother said, "Taylor had been picking her son, John Doe, up from school, taking Doe to his residence where Doe was to clean and do chores around Taylor's residence in an effort to pay him back for some hockey equipment." The boy said, "While at the residence, Doe played video games, wrestled and engaged in sexual acts with Doe." The abuse allegedly went on for about a month, ending February 22nd.
When Taylor was told about the allegations police observed, "Taylor appeared to be visibly upset, although he did not proclaim his innocence."
It was because the 15-year-old boy spoke out that lead police to find the child pornography on Taylor's hard drive. If found guilty, Taylor faces 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Taylor will return to Federal Court on Monday for a detention hearing.
Following the federal charges, the state will be responsible for filing child molestation charges.
