Five days after Lubbock's new methamphetamine ordinance goes into effect, Texas lawmakers consider legislation to follow suit.
Like Lubbock's ordinance, the legislation would restrict the sale of cold-medicines that can be used to make meth. Here in Lubbock, those drugs must now be purchased behind the counter and your purchase must be logged in a customer register.
Saturday, Lubbock became the first city in Texas to enforce an ordinance of this nature. If the legislation passes, restricted measures would be in place statewide.
