The Texas Cafe, better known as "The Spoon" will close as a result of violations with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.

TABC cited the Lubbock bar three times in one year for serving people who were already legally intoxicated. After three violations, the TABC can suspend the facility's license for 30 days or close it for good.

Allen Bounds, the owner of Chance's R, has reportedly purchased this property. If he decides to sell alcohol, he must apply for a zoning permit and a liquor license.
