More than 2,000 people attended the 16th Annual Beans and Cornbread Luncheon at the Civic Center Friday. The annual event helps support Hospice of Lubbock's programs for the terminally ill.
This year's event was the most successful ever, raising more than $58,000 and causing organizers to run out of cornbread.
