204 children died last year because of child abuse and neglect. On Tuesday night, those children were remembered at a candlelight vigil in Lubbock.
Each candle burning represented the life of a child. Here in Lubbock, the Children's Protective Services says one child died and 811 children were abused.
The Family Guidance and Outreach Center of Lubbock held the vigil earlier Tuesday evening at the Westminster Presbyterian Church. April is Child Abuse Prevention Month.
