A Tahoka high school student is no longer attending class with his peers after allegedly making threats against them.

Tahoka ISD released the following statement: "Safety is our number one priority and we believe that we have carefully investigated the situation and taken appropriate action at this time," says Jimmy Parker, superintendent.

Details of the alleged threats are not available. Law enforcement authorities have been notified and the student in question is attending class in an alternative school setting.
