A man suspected of robbing a beauty salon and an alterations store is behind bars.

Lubbock Police are questioning Jewell Allen Fountain about the two burglaries. Fountain was arrested Sunday in the 2400 Block of Baylor Street after police say he robbed Sally Beauty Supply on North University. Officers say the 42-year-old put his hand in his pocket as to indicate he had a gun and demanded money from the clerk.

Police also believe Fountain is responsible for robbing Broadway Alterations on Friday morning. In that robbery, the suspect used a piece of rebar to force employees into a back room. Police say the suspect descriptions are similar in each robbery.
