TTU To Host Town Hall Meeting Over Parking Concerns

Texas Tech wants to hear from anyone who drives to campus. The Traffic and Parking Department is hosting a series of town hall meetings this week to discuss parking related issues with both students and faculty.

A number of people park next to the Hastings on 4th Street but those spaces will be gone next year as construction on the Marsha Sharp Freeway continues. "We don't have a parking crisis, but we do have some issues with perspective to parking on campus," said Matt Hinojosa, Vice President of Operations.

Input on game day parking is also wanted. Texas Tech will be hosting a town hall meeting for faculty and staff on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Escondido Room on the lower level of the student union. Town hall meetings for students will be held Tuesday at two p.m. in the Mesa Room on the upper level of the student union.

The final meeting will be Thursday at four p.m. in the Escondido Room.
