West Texas athletes sign letters of intent on Friday

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

There were several signings across the South Plains Friday:

Zach Stepp of Coronado signed to play basketball at LCU.

Brittany Garza signed to play soccer at Western Texas College in Snyder.

Mike Drake of Smyer signed to play football at Wayland Baptist.

    Guard Josh Webster announced on Twitter Saturday he will be transferring from Texas Tech. He’ll be graduating this summer and will be a grad transfer going to Missouri State.

    After a 9-6 loss Thursday night to Florida that eliminated them from the College World Series, the Texas Tech baseball team flew back to Lubbock Friday afternoon and bussed back to Rip Griffin Park, where fans were waiting to say thank you for another terrific season.
