During high school, I participated in band, Spanish Club, academic UIL, the School Health Advisory Council, student council, Student Crime-Stoppers, congressional debate, cross-examination debate, theatre, One-Act Play, Texas Future Music Educators Association, yearbook, and National Honor Society. I served as band president and Spanish Club president, and I competed at the state academic UIL contest for three consecutive years in ready writing and journalism. Additionally, I was a performer in the 2016 North American Saxophone Alliance High School Ensemble, a candidate for the Presidential Scholars Program, and a commended National Merit Scholar. I have attended Hillside Christian Church in Lubbock since 2014, and hiking at Palo Duro Canyon and hanging out at the local coffee shop with friends are my two favorite things to do outside of academics. I plan on attending the University of Texas at Austin to double major in philosophy and psychology to become a Christian apologist.
