DPS Troopers Release Names In Deadly Accident

Two people are dead following an accident in West Lubbock County. It happened during the noon hour Wednesday - at the intersection of County Road 1200 and Highway 114. That is just South of Reese Center.

DPS Troopers say the two in the station wagon, 24-year-old Christa Barrett and her 4-year-old son, Thomas, died on impact. The driver of the truck, 44-year-old William Stockton of Brownfield, was treated and released from Covenant Medical Center.

Troopers believe a tire blowout one of the vehicles may have caused the crash.
