Tech Student Proposes at Jones SBC Stadium

Texas Tech student George Hazelwood calls Red Raider football and his girlfriend Ashley Roach the two most important things in his life.

That's why Ashley found herself blindfolded and led to the middle of Jones SBC stadium Thursday afternoon. George laid purple roses along the field and then got down on one knee. "Will you make me the happiest, the luckiest, the most blessed man in Gods kingdom? Will you marry me?"

Ashley said yes.

    The Law Enforcement Special Olympics Torch Run send-off is Wednesday morning here in Lubbock. Officers will carry the Flame of Hope through Lubbock on their way to Arlington for the 2017 Special Olympics Texas state summer games competition. Everyone is invited to the send-off at 8:00 am in the north parking lot of the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.
