SHALLOWATER, TX (KCBD) -

Early Tuesday morning, the Shallowater Mustangs received a sendoff to the State Tournament in Round Rock as the community came out to wish them well. Mustang Noah Coronado was impressed and felt the love.

"It's overwhelming. I can't believe our whole community is out here to support us. We couldn't ask for a better community, just to know they're all behind us, it's just overwhelming"

Shallowater is ranked 3rd in Class 3A with a 32-3-2 record. They meet #1 defending State Champion West 7pm Wednesday Night in the State Semifinals in Round Rock. Zack Cummings says the comminity's turnout will help fuel the Mustangs.

"It's exciting. It's pretty cool to see everybody come out here and support us this early in the morning. I know I'd be asleep, but they came out here to support us and it's really cool. I think it will help us."

If Shallowater can beat West, the 3A Title Game is Noon on Thursday.

KCBD NewsChannel 11 Sports will be in Round Rock with the team and have complete Extra innings Coverage.
