Consider This: Get your guns up as Red Raiders head back to Omaha

Get your guns up, Red Raider fans, because Texas Tech Baseball is headed to Omaha for the College Baseball World Series for the second time in three years.

Game one for Tech is scheduled Sunday at 2 p.m. against TCU.

Coach Tim Tadlock's team has distinguished itself on the field with a 46 and 18 record and by winning the Lubbock Regional and Super Regional playoffs.

Be sure to tune in to our Texas Tech College World Series special this Friday night at 6:30 p.m.: Texas Tech: Wreck 'Em in Omaha."

Consider this: It's good to be a Red Raider sports fan right now.  A bowl game, a trip to March Madness and now the College World Series.

I urge you to support Texas Tech, not just because it's a major college program in our backyard, but because it's healthy for Lubbock.

I encourage you to buy their gear, show up to games and cheer for them in local establishments. It's good for your spirit and good for our economy, too.

I'm proud to be a Red Raider and you should be, too.  Wreck 'em Tech!
