SURPRISE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -

Firefighters are on the scene of a brush fire that started burning in Surprise on Sunday night.

Crews were called out to the area near 219th Avenue and Sun Valley Parkway just before 9 p.m.

Fifteen acres have been burned, according to the Surprise Fire Department.

Because of the fire's location, there have been some difficulties getting water on the fire.

Firefighters from Buckeye, Surprise and El Mirage are reportedly on the scene.

There are no structures in the area.

No word on what sparked the flames.
