Reagan Collins is the Salutatorian for the Coronado High School Class of 2015. Her final grade point average is 4.86. Reagan is the daughter of Ms. Sandy Collins of Lubbock. Reagan attended Rush Elementary School and Hutchinson Middle School prior to attending Coronado High School. As the Salutatorian, Reagan has taken a rigorous course load each year during high school. Reagan is a member of the University Interscholastic League team participating in Math as well at a participant of the New Century Leadership Program. She is a member of the National Honor Society in which she is currently treasurer, and a Student Council Member at Large. She has also participated in countless community service projects.
Reagan’s academic honors include: National Merit Commended Scholar, AP Scholar with Distinction, the Phi Beta Kappa Academic Scholar Award, High School Honor Roll for 4 years, UIL District First Place in Calculator Applications and Regional Qualifier, Bausch and Lomb National Honorary Science Award. She is a Who’s Who Recipient, and the recipient of the United States Achievement Academy Social Studies Award.
In Addition, Reagan has had a very successful tennis career at Coronado, capturing many district and regional titles all culminating this year in winning the title of State Champion in Doubles Tennis with her partner. She has been nationally ranked by the United States Tennis Association and was named the MVP of Coronado Tennis. Reagan will continue her tennis career in college.
Reagan will attend the Texas Tech University here in Lubbock where she plans to pursue a pre-Medicine pathway. Her future plan is to attend medical school with a focus on Pediatric Surgery.
