The Wilson Mustangs went 5-5 last year and look for improvement in 2016 as Bear Chesley enters his third season as Head Coach.
"We'll have 15-17 this year and that's a long ways from where I was at finishing with five three years ago. They know the system. They know how we do things. I think they're very excited."
The Mustangs open the season facing Rotan, Benjamin and Lazbuddie. Hopefully that prepares them for the new 1A Division 2 District 4.
"District is going to be Tough. It's a brand new district. I wasn't happy about our district placement. I thought we were going to go South, but we went North. You got Motley County, Petersburg and Southland."
Wilson will try to get one of the two available playoff spots and end a long postseason drought.
"I think it would be an amazing thing to get Wilson in the playoffs. We're going on 31 years. We got a shot."
