Texas Unemployment Rate Falls

Good news for job-seekers. The state unemployment rate fell to 5.6% in March. That's down 6% from the month before.

Lubbock has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the state at 4.2. Just this week, four local companies created more than 130 new jobs. Amarillo and College Station are lower at 4.1 and 4.0.

The worst place for job seekers is down South in the Brownsville-Harlingen area where unemployment is 8%.
