Jim Butler 'Mr. Ford' called Morton home

MORTON, TX (KCBD) -

A drag racing legend called Morton home for many years. Jim Butler - or "Mr. Ford" as people called him - owned a garage and wrecking yard.

He and his wife Inez began their racing career in 1950.

This is one of the earliest pictures of the two posted on the site Drag Racing Vintage Texas.

Jim and Inez went on the win the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Nationals two times.

Butler died in 2006 at the age of 84.
