LPD, LCSO wait tables and collect tips for SOTX at Texas Roadhouse Thursday

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

The Lubbock Sheriff’s Department and Lubbock Police Department will trade in their handcuffs for serving aprons at the annual Tip A Cop Night.

It's being held at Texas Roadhouse, located at 4810 S. Loop 289 in Lubbock, on Thursday, July 21 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

During that time, officers, sheriffs and Law Enform cent Torch Run (LETR) members will serve tables and collect tips, which will be turned in as donations to Special Olympics Texas at the end of the dinner shift.

The public is invited and urged to dine at this Texas Roadhouse location and ‘Tip A Cop’ for his/her dedicated effort to support SOTX athletes.

All tips will go toward providing SOTX programming for more than 1,200 athletes with intellectual disabilities in the South Plains area.

Contributions can be made via cash, check or credit card.
