LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Flights at Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport were delayed on Thursday after a private plane crash landed with the landing gear up.

The plane has been towed off the runway as of 2 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

Airport officials say two people were on board at the time of the crash landing. They also say the pilot was in contact with air traffic control because he was having landing gear issues. The pilot believed his landing gear was down and secured, but during the landing the gear collapsed.

Officials say the plane was headed to Lubbock from El Paso. The plane is a Piper PA-24 Comanche (piston-single).
