Pedestrian injured during crash at S. Loop 289 and Indiana Ave.

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A pedestrian was taken to the hospital Sunday night after being hit by a vehicle near the eastbound turnaround at South Loop 289 and Indiana Ave.

The accident happened around 8:15 p.m. Sunday.

Police say a vehicle was heading west on the service road and was in the turnaround lane to head east when it collided with a bicyclist who was heading west in the eastbound lanes of the service road.

Officials with the Lubbock Police Department say the pedestrian's legs were broken. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
