If you've ever wanted to take a spin in a luxury BMW, Monday was the day. About 100 people took advantage of that offer at Alderson BMW where that dealership was hosting the 9th Annual Ultimate Drive. But it wasn't just a free ride for no reason. Every mile that is driven turned into a dollar donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
"The purpose today (Monday) is to raise money for breast cancer for research, education, screening and testing, and for the local foundation here," says Kim Simon, the event coordinator.
In all there were 187 test drives today rolling up a total of more than 5,000 miles, which means Alderson and the BMW Corp matched that with a donation of more than $5,000 to the Komen foundation.
